Using iTunes on your pc you can select the app of your choice and add the files while connected via USB. cbz comic files to your computer so they can be USB transferred to your iPhone using the reader application of your choice such as Chunky Comic Reader, available in the iTunes app store. When the download has finished open the Comic Flow app and your comics will be ready for your reading pleasure. Click add on the bottom right side, browse to your downloaded comic file, click open and the download will begin. Choose apps and then scroll down to select the Comic Flow app.
Your iPad will show as attached on the right side of the control bar as a button (notice eject symbol next to it), that same button when clicked on the left side with allow you to choose the apps that are installed on your iPad. (I’m looking at you Comic Zeal whose last update was 3 years ago!) The only additional feature I would like to see from Manga Viewer is an option to view the library of comics with larger (grid view) covers instead of just the tiny thumbnail in a list view. I also like that the app continues to get support from the developers unlike other similar apps. PDFs of scanned books are handled without issue. Wireless transfer over the same network works very well to import comics as well. It’s very handy to have the iPad sitting upright with the keyboard folio and being able to navigate pages with the arrow keys on the keyboard. Even better for me is that it supports the Apple Keyboard. Chunky does a nice job, but I prefer Manga Viewer because of the number of settings that can be used to customize the reading experience.
I’ve tried several comic reading apps over the years including Comic Zeal and Chunky. Please send bugs or suggestions to at the top right of the setting screen. A function that changes to the next page when the volume is changed.
